After their marriage, John and Jennifer got a puppy after moving to Florida. As Marley grows, he has no self-discipline. Marley’s antics gave John the inspiration for his newspaper column. After starting a family of their own, Marley’s impulsive behavior never change and is constantly testing everyone’s patience.
Before I watch the movie, I had read the book. But this entry is about the movie, so I will skip about what I think about the book and not compare it with the movie.
I like how the movie portray Marley. He can be crazy yet loving at the same time. It’s like how most dogs behave in reality.
This movie is a tear jerking one. So prepare lots of tissues if you haven’t watch it yet. Although the movie came out years ago, I am pretty sure there are some people out there who haven’t watch it. Or maybe the genre isn’t what they are keen in.
Marley & Me taught me that despite all the craziness and major changes in life, we shouldn’t give up on our four legged friend no matter how frustrated and stress we are. They are part of our family, they brought joys and frustration into our lives. And they definitely love us as much as we love them.
Will I recommend this movie? Definitely.
